Granite is an igneous rock that formed when lava condenses slowly. Granite is made up of of quartz, feldspar, and other minerals and has a medium to coarse grain texture. Granite comes in a variety of shapes, textures, finishes, and thicknesses. The mineral makeup of the rock determines the color. Depending on the use, the format, thickness, and finishes may differ.

Sandstone is a type of clastic sedimentary rock that is primarily formed of silicate particles. Quartz and felspar are silicate minerals that can be found in granite, quartzite, and even manufactured stones like quartz stone and sintered stone. Sandstone is a form of natural stone that comes in a variety of colours. Tan, brown, yellow, red, grey, pink, white, and black are the most frequent sandstone colours. Some sandstones offer exceptional long-term weather resilience, depending on the formation process, and are thus utilised for paving and external cladding. Sandstone that has not been treated is naturally slip resistant.

The sandstone's usual layer thickness is 1–20 cm, with 4–5 cm being the most common, while curving cross-bedding occurs sometimes. Quartz and pink feldspar are the main components of sand-sized clastic grains. Quartz porphyry variations dominate the pebbles, with quartz, granite, and metamorphic material grains thrown in for good measure.

Outdoor ovens, fireplaces, patios or porches, retaining walls, and walkways can all be built with it. Outdoor furniture constructed of the material can be found, such as garden benches and patio tables. Water fountains, garden planters and troughs, as well as urns and outdoor lighting fixtures, are all made of sandstone.
