When limestone or dolomite is subjected to heat and pressure, marble occurs as a non-foliated metamorphic rock (metamorphism). It is mostly made up of the mineral calcite, and it is less hardy and permeable than granite or quartzite. Each marble slab is one-of-a-kind and has its own personality. If you seal your marble kitchen worktops on a regular basis, you can enjoy them for many years. Marble is an elegant material that matures gracefully when properly cared for and preserved.

Marble is a quarried natural stone that is extracted from marble mountains in the form of blocks. Marble blocks are treated according to the requirements of the client or project. The majority of residential and commercial structures employ 20mm marble slabs. Each slab of marble has its own vein pattern, and colours may vary from batch to batch. All marble surfaces must be protected from sharp things and treated.

Marble slabs can be made into bespoke kitchen worktops, bar countertops, bathroom vanities, tabletops, fire hearths or creative fireplace surrounds, wash hand basins, and cut-to-size marble tiles for bathrooms, hallways, and elevators. Marble is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor use.

Marble slabs come in two thicknesses: 20mm and 30mm. Marble kitchen worktops, splashbacks, and upstands should be 20mm thick. The cost of a thicker marble worktop is more than a 20mm version since it requires additional support.

The edge of the marble worksurface can be built-up to provide a thicker appearance, avoiding needless pressure on woodwork. Intricate profiles can be found on 20mm marble worktops and bathroom vanity tops with built-up edges. During the quotation process, please specify the desired edge profile.

Polished or honed marble slabs are the most common finishes. Sandblasted, flamed, and leather are some of the other options. Polishing brings out the colours in the marble, whereas sandblasting can make it look boring. Due to safety concerns, marble shower trays must be sandblasted. Please keep in mind that sandblasted or flamed dark grey or black stones will appear lighter in colour.

Please note that these photographs have been included to give you an impression of the stone's color and granular differences. Misconceptions can emerge for a variety of causes, including the following:

Because marbles is a natural stone, its graining may differ from batch to batch.

Only a small portion of a real stone slab is represented in the samples.

When feasible, we want all of our customers to see the marbles slab they have chosen in person.

The slab and sample photos are purely for illustration purposes. marbles slabs and samples may appear different in photos than they do in real life due to variations in lighting.

Colors are occasionally interpreted differently by smart gadgets, tablets, and personal computers.
